I'm reading...

Verso books happen to be my favourites these days. Here's the last great book I've been reading:
Rancière's On the Shore of Politics
This major French thinker gives politics back its original and necessary meaning: the organization of dissent.

“Rancière’s writings offer one of the few consistent conceptualizations of how we are to continue to resist.” — Slavoj Zizek

Jacques Racière is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the University of Paris-VIII. His books include The Politics of Aesthetics, Short Voyages to the Land of the People and The Nights of Labor. His Hatred of Democracy is also available from Verso.

Here is some popular stuff of him: Guantanamo, Justice and Bushspeak
On democracy
For dummies
